One of the things you must learn to do as a computer user is to change a network password on Windows since network password often expire every 30 to 90 days. To do you must log into the network with an unlocked account and current password.
When you arrive at the desktop, carefully press Ctrl+Alt+Delete (Ctrl+Alt+End if attempting over Remote Desktop) and wait a few seconds. A menu should then appear where you can then click the Change Password option.
Enter your current/old/temporary password in the first line, the new password in the second line, and repeat it in the third line, then click on the right arrow button to save the password.
Tip: If you believe that your password will expire while on vacation, it will be a good idea to change it before you go so that you can monitor email if needed as you may not be able to change the password unless your PC is on the domain or you are given VPN access or have (Outlook Web App) OWA that is not behind a firewall where you can go to setup out of office messages.
