While installing a DYMO LabelManager PNP Label Maker for a client in their office, I noticed that .Net Framework 3.5 was required. I felt this was not a problem as I can enable .Net Framework 3.5 in the Control Panel of the Windows 8.1 Operating System or download it from Microsoft’s website.
Neither of the above worked until I remember that I am in an office environment and WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) might be a cause of the client and myself not being able to install the programming infrastructure to operate the labeler so I switched over to the local Administrator account on the computer, and proceeded to execute gpedit.msc from the Run window.
To get to the below settings, navigate to Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair setting window as shown below.
