Access iDRAC on Windows 11

How can you access iDRAC on Windows 11? You may have been trying only to be greeted with the following message.

This site can’t provide a secure connection
10.0.0.254 uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

Unsupported protocol
The client and server don’t support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.

Browser
The Microsoft Internet Explorer browser is the best web browser to access the iDRAC but unfortunately, since you are on Windows 11, you will be redirected to the Microsoft Edge browser which will not work as it is now one of the latest chromium based browsers. To overcome this, get an old copy of Firefox. Since getting an older copy of Firefox will be difficult to find, getting a forked version of Firefox (such as the Pale Moon browser) will be the best thing to do to get the job done.

Extension
Are you and your team worried about an old browser which may be filled with exploits? You can utilize the latest web browser then install an extension which interracts with the IE engine until Microsoft kills it off completely.
